গত রাতে তোমার ভাল ঘুম হয়েছে

You had a sound sleep at last night

তুমি কি এ বছর পরীক্ষা দিবে?

Will you sit for the examination this year?

বাজারে আমার বইয়ের দারুন কাটতি

My books sell like hot cakes

শিশুটি নাচতে নাচতে মায়ের কাছে গেল

The child went to the mother dancing

তোমার বড় ভাই আমার ভাইয়ের চেয়ে বড়

Your elder brother is older than my brother

আমি ঘর থেকে আসতে না আসতেই বৃষ্টি শুরু হল

No sooner had I got out of the house than it began to rain

ভদ্রলোকের সুদিন ছিল বলে মনে হয়

The gentleman seems to have seen better days

হাঁ করে দাঁড়িয়ে আছ কেন?

স্বাধীনতা মানুষের জন্মগত অধিকার

Freedom is man’s birth right

অতীতের জন্য দুঃখ করো না

Don’t regret for the past

লোকটিকে একজন বিদ্যান বলে মনে হয়

The man seems to be a learned person

গরিবেরা কষ্টের জন্যই জন্মায়

The poor are born to suffer

আবার যদি আমরা শিশু হতাম

Would that I were a child again!

আমি এখন অভাবগ্রস্ত

I m hard up now

এক কথায় বল কি চাও?

তোমার এখন কেমন লাগছে
